Recently the Automobile Club of Southern California published an article in their member magazine, Westways. It stated that Interstate 15 in San Bernardino County is one of the most deadly stretches of highway in the United States. It went on to say that in 2007, the California Highway Patrol reported about 400 injuries and seven deaths occurred between the San Bernardino/ Riverside County line and Sierra Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol and the Auto Club are working together to promote safer driving in the Inland Empire. Their goal is to reduce the number of deaths and injuries resulting from speeding and unsafe driving habits. Since 2007, injury rates have actually decreased.
The next time you are on Interstate 15, make sure you drive safely. Of course, this applies to any road you drive.
