According to the California Highway Patrol a driver going the wrong way on an off ramp on Interstate 215 in San Bernardino hit another driver, causing both vehicles to face in the wrong direction.

An ambulance was called to the scene.  Unknown injuries were sustained.

An investigation is under way to determine why the driver was driving in the wrong direction.  Questions are being asked to see if he was under the influence or alcohol and/or drugs or if he was distracted.

If you are injured because of a driver driving the wrong way, I would suggest you contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will prove that negligence played a part in the accident that caused your injuries.  You can file a claim against the at-fault driver for injuries, medical expenses and

Can you believe it’s been almost a month since a 47-year old Ontario man driving a Mercedes drove into a coned-off construction zone and hit an earth-moving machine on the San Bernardino Freeway?  His actions killed a 20-year old woman and injured five other people.

According to California Highway Patrol, the 47-year old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and vehicular manslaughter.  It seems the freeway’s two right-hand lanes were marked for construction when the driver veered into them, hitting a stationary machine and worker on it.

The worker was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries.  The Mercedes had six people in it; five were hospitalized with minor to major injuries.  One 20-year old woman died from injuries sustained.

I hope the family will contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who can investigate the details of this accident and determine if compensation for their loss is available to them.

The Sherriff’s department arrested four individuals in three separate traffic accidents the weekend of March 13, 2010 – all involving alcohol or drugs.  One is an active-duty Marine.  He was arrested on suspicion of DUI after hitting two parked vehicles early Saturday morning.  After taking several field sobriety tests, he was arrested and booked in the Morongo Basin jail – released later that day.

In another incident, a 19-year old girl lost control of her truck and hit a utility pole.  The driver and her passenger, an 18-year old girl, were found to be under the influence of alcohol when sheriff deputies arrived.  The driver was arrested for DUI while the passenger was arrested for being drunk in public.  They, also, were booked in the Morongo Basin jail and released later.

The third accident involved a 21-year old man speeding on the Twentynine Palms Highway when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to roll several times.  His passenger, a 22-year old woman was knocked unconscious during the incident.  She was treated at a local hospital for head and neck injuries.  The driver, who abandoned his vehicle, was located later on and arrested on suspicion of felony DUI causing injuries to another.  He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga and held on $100,000 bail.

It is unfortunate that four people were involved and hurt – all because of alcohol and/or drugs.

Are you aware that if you attend a party, drink too much, drive home and get involved in a fatal accident, the host of the party may be liable for your actions?  The host may be liable because he or she should have stopped you from getting behind the wheel drunk.  This is a case when a wrongful death is not the result of a person’s negligent actions.

Do us all a favor, never get behind the wheel of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
