A driver crossed into the path of a motorcycle at an intersection the other day – killing the 25-year old Hesperia man after he was thrown from the bike.
The motorcyclist was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The driver of the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital for treatment. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is investigating to determine why this fatal accident took place.
According to the National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration, thousands of people are injured and killed each year as a result of motorcycle accidents. The chances of a motorcyclist being killed are much higher than those of an occupant in an automobile.
If the driver of the car is found to be at fault for this young man’s death, the relatives of this man should contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney and file a wrongful death lawsuit against the driver.

California law says that a driver is legally intoxicated after consuming alcohol if his or her blood alcohol content is .08% or higher. This applies to the use of drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, or even prescription drugs. A driver who drives drunk is considered negligent; he or she chooses to put other drivers at risk.
The bottom line is intoxication by any means can cause accidents and severe personal injuries. Motorists and pedestrians injured by intoxicated drivers have legal rights against the negligent driver and oftentimes the establishment that served the drunk driver the alcohol.
A drunk-driving accident can cause emotional trauma to you. If you are a victim of a drunk driver, contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will aggressively pursue compensation for your injuries.

Motorcyclists only have a helmet and a thin layer of clothing to stand between them and the asphalt. They do not have the protection that a 3,000+ pound passenger car provides, such as seat belts and air bags.
Because a motorcycle driver does not have the proper protection in the event of an accident, the injuries sustained can be severe and include surgery, physical rehabilitation, costly hospital stays, medication, and traumatic brain or spinal cord damage. According to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration, motorcycle accidents have increased every year.
Motorcycle accidents often occur because of reckless driving, speeding or swerving from lane to lane on the freeways. However, in some cases, they happen because of negligent and inattentive automobile drivers.
If you or someone you care about has been injured in a motorcycle accident, contact a San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who has been successful in motorcycle accidents and will fight to secure the compensation you need for lost wages, medical bills and pain and suffering.

They are built for power and speed, as well as to handle rugged terrain, but they are also relatively light and can be difficult to ride in certain environments. There are ways to make your dirt bike endure an accident. They include:
· Make sure your bike is equipped with durable parts in case of a crash
· Make sure your bike is equipped with a good brake snake in order to keep your foot controls in good working condition
· Make sure all parts are in good-working condition
· Have the proper protective gear, such as a dirt bike helmet
There is a high risk involved in participating in off-road motorcycle sports, which include severe head injuries – that is why a helmet is essential.
