Remember a few months ago when a 27-year old bicyclist, was killed by a high-school student, racing on Highland streets with another vehicle? The vehicle drove across traffic and ended on the shoulder where he crashed into a man who was riding his bike. The impact threw him into a field where he died.
At the time, none of the students were arrested, pending an investigation. Once the investigation was completed, a trial was held. Recently, the two 18-year old racers, were charged with vehicular manslaughter. They both face a single felony count.
Again, my sympathies go out to the family of the bicyclist.
