A driver crossed into the path of a motorcycle at an intersection the other day – killing the 25-year old Hesperia man after he was thrown from the bike.
The motorcyclist was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The driver of the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital for treatment. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is investigating to determine why this fatal accident took place.
According to the National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration, thousands of people are injured and killed each year as a result of motorcycle accidents. The chances of a motorcyclist being killed are much higher than those of an occupant in an automobile.
If the driver of the car is found to be at fault for this young man’s death, the relatives of this man should contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney and file a wrongful death lawsuit against the driver.

When a serious accident occurs, the victim may sustain an injury that will heal over time. However, he or she may sustain an injury that will change his or her life forever.
An example of a serious injury that could occur is an eye or inner ear injury. This type of injury can rob them of their ability to see or hear – the life they led is gone forever. It may happen in a work-related explosion or exposure to certain chemicals.
If you or a loved one has suffered a catastrophic injury, such as an eye or ear injury, in an accident that you did not cause, you have the right to seek full compensation from the negligent party. These cases can be extremely complex and require the skill of an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who can help you understand your rights and fight to make sure you are compensated for your injuries and all of your expenses.

A man turning left onto an onramp to the northbound Interstate 15 in Victorville the other morning was struck by a woman who did not stop for a red light. The impact caused the man’s vehicle to split in two. Both drivers were taken to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Victorville Police are investigating the accident, but it appears that the woman who ran the red light is at fault. According to California Vehicle Code Section 21453(a), “A driver facing a circular red signal shall stop at the limit line before entering the crosswalk on the near side of the intersection or, if none, then before entering the intersection, and shall remain stopped until an indication to proceed is shown.”
If you are injured by a driver who did not stop for a red light, contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will investigate to determine if you are entitled to compensation by the negligent party for your injuries, medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering.

Spinal cord injuries are one of the most catastrophic injuries a person can sustain. This type of injury can leave a person paralyzed and without the sense of touch and temperature. A spinal cord injury can change a person’s life drastically. It occurs as a result of an automobile or truck accident where the driver was negligent.
Paralyzed individuals face the risk of blood clots because with no movement, blood cannot move through the veins properly and the heart cannot pump the blood the way it should.
Statistics show that approximately 15,000 people sustain spinal cord injuries every year in the United States – most are permanently paralyzed and many die from this injury.
If you sustained a spinal cord injury as a result of an accident with a negligent driver, contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney as soon as possible. A 35-year old man walking along a major road in Apple Valley just before midnight the other night was hit by a motorist and severely injured.
Apparently he was not only walking in the traffic lanes with his back towards the traffic, but he was dressed in dark-colored clothing, when he was hit. He was taken by air to a local hospital.
The 70-year old driver told officials that he did not see the man. Walking at night and wearing dark clothing is a hazard and a danger to both the pedestrian and the motorist. When walking at night it is important to be seen. Wearing reflective clothing is a good defense against invisibility.
If you are injured by a vehicle while walking at night or at any time of the day, contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney to determine if you can be compensated for your injuries and expenses.

A 56-year old man crossing an Ontario Street recently was killed after being hit by an SUV.
A news report indicates that the man, who had been driving a big-rig, stopped, parked his truck and attempted to cross the street at an intersection with a two-way stop sign when the accident happened.
California Vehicle Code Section 21950 states, “The driver of a vehicle shall yield the right-of-way to a pedestrian crossing the roadway within any marked crosswalk or within any unmarked crosswalk at an intersection.” It continues with, “The driver of a vehicle approaching a pedestrian within any marked or unmarked crosswalk shall exercise all due care and shall reduce the speed of a vehicle or take any other action relating to the operating of the vehicle as necessary to safeguard the safety of the pedestrian.”
The 56-year old man was taken to a local hospital where he died several days later. The accident is under investigation to determine why this man was struck and killed. If it is determined that the driver did not stop at the stop sign or failed to yield the right of way to the pedestrian, he or she can be held liable for the man’s wrongful death.
If you are injured or a family member is killed because of a driver’s negligence, you should contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will make sure the negligent party is held responsible
